January 1

The Date all Property is assessed by the County for that tax year.

March 1

Deadline to file your Homestead Exemption & Agricultural Classification.

April 1

Per Florida Statutes Section 194.014, if you filed a petition contesting the value of property, you must still pay all of the non­ ad valorem assessments and make a partial payment of at least 75 percent of the ad valorem taxes, less the applicable discount under Section 197.162, before the taxes become delinquent on April 1st. Failure to do so, will result in the Value Adjustment Board automatically denying your appeal.

July 1

The date the County Appraiser must submit the tax roll to the Department of Revenue for approval.

July 1

Mailing date for denial of exemptions and classifications.

July 31

Deadline to file an appeal petition on denied exemptions and agricultural classifications. (or within thirty days following the mailing of denial notices).

August

Middle of the month. Notice of Proposed Taxes (TRIM notice) mailed to taxpayers. Petitions must be filed within 25 days of mailing of the TRIM Notice (the date the county mails the TRIM may vary from county to county)

September

25 days from TRIM Notice mailing deadline for filing petitions to contest property tax valuation.

November

Tax Collector mails final tax bills to taxpayers
