Per Florida Statutes Section 194.014, if you filed a petition contesting the value of property, you must still pay all of the nonad valorem assessments and make a partial payment of at least 75 percent of the ad valorem taxes, less the applicable discount under Section 197.162, before the taxes become delinquent on April 1st. Failure to do so, will result in the Value Adjustment Board automatically denying your appeal.

Middle of the month. Notice of Proposed Taxes (TRIM notice) mailed to taxpayers. Petitions must be filed within 25 days of mailing of the TRIM Notice (the date the county mails the TRIM may vary from county to county)
